Five Maryland Pick 5 Tickets Win $50,000 in Same Drawing at One Rockville Retailer

Five Maryland Pick 5 tickets each won $50,000 in the Sept. 22 midday drawing, with all five winning tickets sold at the same Rockville retailer. The five prizes were produced by one Maryland Lottery drawing, creating a concentration of $50,000 winning tickets at a single location.

The winning Pick 5 number in the Sept. 22 midday drawing was 88768. Each of the five winning tickets matched the five-digit number in the exact order drawn. That means all five tickets qualified for the $50,000 prize tied to the exact-order result.

The five winning tickets were sold at Ollies Beer, Wine & Deli in Rockville. The Maryland Lottery lists the retailer's address as 2011 Veirs Mill Road in Rockville, identifying the same location for each of the five Sept. 22 $50,000 tickets.

The tickets were included in the Maryland Lottery's listing of draw-game tickets sold for drawings during the Sept. 21-27 period. Within that weekly listing, the five Sept. 22 Pick 5 tickets represent five separate $50,000 prizes from the same midday drawing and the same Rockville retailer.

As of Sept. 28, all five of the Sept. 22 Pick 5 tickets were listed as unclaimed. The status means that, at that point, the Maryland Lottery's listing had not recorded those five tickets as claimed. The five tickets remained identified as winning tickets while their status was still shown as unclaimed.

The five Pick 5 prizes were part of a broader week of large Maryland Lottery prizes. During Sept. 21-27, 50 Maryland Lottery tickets sold statewide delivered prizes of $10,000 or more. The five $50,000 Pick 5 tickets were among those higher-value winning tickets recorded during the week.

Across all Maryland Lottery prizes during the Sept. 21-27 period, total winnings exceeded $29.5 million. That weekly figure includes prizes across the lottery's games and is separate from the five $50,000 Pick 5 prizes from the Sept. 22 midday drawing.

The Rockville concentration remains the defining detail of the Sept. 22 result: five tickets from one Pick 5 drawing each carried a $50,000 prize, and all five were sold at Ollies Beer, Wine & Deli. As of Sept. 28, each of those five tickets was still listed as unclaimed by the Maryland Lottery.
