$7.5 Million Lotto Texas Jackpot Ticket Sold in Houston Remains Unclaimed

A Quick Pick ticket sold at a Houston Kroger matched all six numbers in the September 5 Lotto Texas drawing and carries a pre-tax cash value of $3,971,819.05.

A Lotto Texas ticket worth an estimated $7.5 million was sold in Houston for the September 5 drawing, but the prize remained unclaimed as of the Texas Lottery’s September 8 announcement.

The Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Kroger 161, located at 14344 Memorial Drive in Houston. It matched all six numbers drawn for the jackpot: 14, 17, 25, 26, 30 and 37.

The ticket selected the cash value option rather than the annuitized prize. That choice carries a pre-tax payment of $3,971,819.05, according to the Texas Lottery.

The September 5 drawing had one jackpot winner, and the official jackpot option was listed as CVO. The prize had grown from an advertised $5 million jackpot for the August 12 drawing and continued through 11 drawings before the Houston ticket matched all six numbers.

The ticket holder has 180 days from the September 5 draw date to claim the prize. The Texas Lottery has not identified the holder, and no claim had been recorded by September 8.

The Houston retailer that sold the ticket may qualify for a $25,000 bonus through the Texas Lottery Retailer Bonus Program. The bonus is separate from the jackpot prize and remains subject to the program’s eligibility requirements.

The drawing also produced 47,894 Lotto Texas tickets with lower-tier prizes ranging from $2 to $11,813. Readers can check the game’s current information on the latest Texas Lotto Texas results page.
