Free Games + Up To $100 “The day after the drawing, I checked my Lotto 47 ticket by scanning it on the Lottery app,” said the 57-year-old winner who chose to remain anonymous. “When confetti came up on the screen with the amount of $1.05 million, all I could think was: ‘It’s a miracle! An early Christmas miracle!’ It’s pretty amazing to invest $1 and win $1.05 million. Just like that, your financial future is clearer.”The winner matched all six numbers drawn -- 02-10-13-24-29-46 -- to win the jackpot. He purchased the winning ticket at the Maple Drugs, located at 1949 Wayne Road in Westland.“Congratulations to the winner who turned $1 into a $1.05 million Lotto 47 jackpot!” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. “In 2024, eight Michigan Lottery players won life-changing Lotto 47 jackpot prizes, which totaled more than $23 million in winnings.”The winner visited Lottery headquarters in Lansing recently to claim his prize. He elected to receive the money as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $728,000 rather than the annuity. He plans on using the money to help family and to save for retirement. The members plan to use the money to buy a home in Florida and travel.And while they were lucky winners, it’s smart for players to check their tickets immediately as a Mega Millions winner worth $1 million sold in Southfield in 2023 went unclaimed.
