She purchased the winning ticket at Canaan Fuels, a gas station in Taunton located at 53 Court Street.Freitas received a cash payment of $650,000 before taxes because she chose to withdraw the money immediately, rather than receive annual payments.Freitas "plans on investing her winnings," according to a Massachusetts Lottery press release.If Freitas had chosen to receive her winnings in annual payments, she would have received 20 payments of $50,000 each.Another Taunton big winnerTaunton man wins first $1 million prize in new Lottery game.
