A Passaic County lottery player rang in the new year by winning $5,000 a month for life on a $3 scratch-off ticket.The New Jersey Lottery announced Monday that a grand prize was won in its Win for Life! scratch-off game last week.The winning ticket was purchased at the Valley Spa on East Main Street in Little Falls on Tuesday, Dec. 31.The annuity value is $1.5 million, but the prize winner opted for the cash option of $875,200, the NJ Lottery said.The Win for Life! game began in October and offers players prizes of $5 to $5,000 with three top prizes of $5,000 a month for life. There are still two grand prizes out there.2024 winners:Which county in New Jersey wins the most big lottery prizes?$250,000 won in Burlington CountyThe New Jersey also announced that on Thursday, Jan. 2, a Burlington County lottery player won $250,000 playing a $10 scratch-off game.The winning $250,000 Crossword scratch-off ticket was purchased at the Walmart on Route 38 in Lumberton.The game, which began in March, has one remaining top prize still out there − the game began with six.The other $250,000 tickets were sold in Pompton Plains, Hawthorne, Maple Shade and Newark.
