The Mega Ball drawn was 6 with a Megaplier of 3X.No one across the country hit Friday’s $77 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold.In New Jersey, a third-prize ticket matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball was sold for Friday’s drawing at ShopRite on Morris Turnpike in Springfield, Union County, the New Jersey Lottery said. It’s worth $30,000 instead of the standard $10,000 because the winner spent an extra $1 for the Megaplier option.Friday’s winning numbers were: 9, 23, 39, 65 and 66. The Mega Ball drawn was 22 with a Megaplier of 3X.The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers are 302,575,350 to 1. Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million. The odds of matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball for a prize of at least $10,000 are 931,001 to 1.Mega Millions drawings are held each Tuesday and Friday in 45 states, along with Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.Wednesday’s Powerball drawing is worth an estimated $303 million with a cash option of $132.8 million.Our journalism needs your support.
