The $1 million prize was from “Goldmine 50X,” which was initially released on Jan. 9, 2024. This was the third and final grand prize remaining to be claimed in the game.The winner claimed their prize through a trust called the Goldfinch Trust of 2024 of Wilmington. The trust, represented by trustee Heather Denny, opted to receive the prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. The winning ticket was sold at the Market Basket on 260 Main St. in Wilmington. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
