Man violently steals lottery winnings from 83-year-old woman in Orange County, deputies say

Orange County deputies are searching for a man who violently robbed an 83-year-old woman of her lottery winnings on Wednesday.The Orange County Sheriff's Office identified the suspect as Diego Stalin Tavarez Fleury.Tavarez was caught on surveillance footage approaching the victim and attempting to snatch her lottery winnings as she was entering her car. Tavarez appeared to step back from the victim when a man intervened.However, seconds later, Tavarez approached the victim again and violently attacked her. The 83-year-old victim fell to the ground during the attack.In the surveillance footage, a man attempts to stop Tavarez from fleeing, but he manages to escape.Tavarez stole approximately $200 from the victim, according to the OCSO. Deputies said the incident occurred outside Buddy's Food and Lotto on Curry Ford Road, near the intersection of South Goldenrod Road.
