New homes, new cars, luxury vacations, and financial security top the wish lists of Michigan Lottery players. In 2024, the Lottery helped make those dreams come true for countless players. All told, 48 players became millionaires in 2024 playing Lottery games. The largest prize won this year was a $842.4 million Powerball jackpot won Jan. 1. The prize was won by the three-member “The Breakfast Club” lottery club. They purchased the winning ticket at the Food Castle of Grand Blanc, located at 3035 East Grand Blanc Road in Grand Blanc. “Congratulations to the lucky Michigan Lottery players who won life-changing prizes this year, including the 48 winners who claimed prizes of $1 million or more,” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. “In 2024, about 62 cents of every dollar spent on Michigan Lottery games went back to players in prizes, making it the fourth consecutive year Lottery players in Michigan claimed nearly $3 billion in prizes.” The 48 prizes of $1 million or more accounted for more than $945 million in winnings for players. Since the Lottery began in 1972, players have collected more than $55 billion in prizes. In addition to the 48 players who won $1 million or more, about 200 players won prizes of at least $100,000 in 2024.
