KY man wins big from $1 million dollar scratch-off ticket

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - One Kentucky man had a great holiday season after winning a large prize from a $1 million Kentucky Lottery Scratch-off before Christmas. On Dec. 22, the man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the $1,000,000 Casino Nights Scratch-off ticket at Alexandria Carryout. “I bought four different tickets,” he said in a release. After taking the ticket to a vending machine to scan it, the machine revealed $700,000. The next day, on Dec. 23, he came to the Kentucky Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. According to the release, he chose the lump sum cash payment of $700,000 and left lottery headquarters with a check for $504,000 after taxes.He told lottery officials that besides giving money to his kids and buying a condo for his mom, he has no plans right now for himself.Alexandria Carryout will receive $7,000 for selling the winning ticket.On Dec. 22, the man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the $1,000,000 Casino Nights Scratch-off ticket at Alexandria Carryout.(Kentucky Lottery Headquarters)Copyright 2025 WBKO.
